A marvelous day to you all! I am Hamdah A. Sam, a grade 11 student currently studying here at Ateneo De Davao – Senior High school (AdDU-SHS). One issue that greatly concerns me is how youth violence is becoming more common, particularly among minors who engage in such actions and sometimes even escape accountability. While some may view this as normal, I find it alarming because it reflects a lack of discipline among the youth. Having witnessed many young people being influenced by organizations that lead them into illegal activities, I began to realize that today’s youth is slowly rebelling against society. Yet, despite all of this, I still believe that change is possible. I believe we must all be more aware and proactive. Minors must practice discipline and take responsibility for their actions because the law cannot always protect or excuse them. True change begins with self-awareness and discipline, especially among the youth.
